birth doula

I believe Hollywood has done you a disservice. Birth, by design, is not meant to be a scary traumatic experience. Yes it can be all of that, but what they don’t tell you is how empowering it can be.

They don’t tell you that it is actually one of the most intuitive experiences you’ll ever have.

I believe you know your body better than anyone else. As a doula my job is to help guide you along this journey. Reminding you of your own strength and encouraging you every step of the way.

Regardless of how you desire to labor and deliver, my support and care will be tailored and designed to honor your wishes and desires throughout your labor and delivery.

I am there to provide evidence based information, comfort measures and assurance.

POSTPARTUM doula

Postpartum is such a special time. It is a time to be held. It is a time to allow your village (whatever that may look like) to care for you.

Here’s the honest truth, bringing a baby into the world is hard. But you don’t have to do it alone.

As a postpartum doula I’m interested in wholistic care. Some days I’ll prep nourishing meals that will replenish the postpartum body. Other days I’ll focus on newborn care, teaching you along the way.

Everyday may look a little different. That is the beauty of what postpartum care can look like, flexible and designed to meet you wherever you’re at.

KIND WORDS

“From my first meeting with Caryn, I felt a wave of comfort, calm and support. She's like the childhood best friend that you can let your guard down with, and know you will be supported, judgement free. Caryn was a wonderful support for me and my husband in the prenatal journey, throughout our hospital birth experience, and with her postpartum check in. She was a great advocate, encourager, and calming presence of support. I am forever grateful for Caryn and that she was a part of bringing our second kiddo into the world!”
